General Terms

  1. Limitation of Liability: Trelis’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer to Trelis over the last 12 months, as far as is allowed by law. Trelis is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages beyond the amount paid. Non-paying customers agree that they shall have no recourse to Trelis.
  2. Privacy Policy: The Trelis website (Trelis.com) does not store data on customers that are not logged in, other than establishing a unique session ID to provide assistance. For customers posting comments or creating accounts on Trelis.com, Trelis stores the customer’s email address.
  3. Customer Responsibilities: As a condition of using Trelis’ products and services, customers must not engage in illegal activities within their jurisdiction.
  4. Intellectual Property: The Trelis brand name, logo, website design, and the content of Trelis’ products and services, including proprietary algorithms, are Trelis’ property and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
  5. Changes to Terms: Trelis reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Trelis will notify customers of any changes.
  6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by Irish law, and legal disputes must be settled in Dublin. By using Trelis services, customers agree to this jurisdiction clause.

Trelis API (router.trelis.com)

  1. The Service: The Trelis API provides speech-to-text and text-to-speech through Trelis-managed models (such as Tiron and Tara) and bring-your-own-key (BYOK) third-party providers. Use of the Trelis API is governed by the Trelis Router Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  2. Data Handling: Synchronous transcription stores nothing: audio streams to the model and the transcript is returned in the response. Batch jobs hold audio only until the job completes or fails, after which it is deleted; batch results are held for one hour so they can be retrieved, then permanently deleted. Trelis does not use customer audio, text, or transcripts to train models. For BYOK models, audio is forwarded to the third-party provider you select, under that provider’s terms.
  3. Accuracy: Transcripts and generated speech are produced by machine-learning models and may contain errors. They are provided “as is” and customers are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
  4. API Keys: API keys are for the account holder’s use only and may not be shared. Trelis reserves the right to suspend access for misuse.
  5. Credits: API credits are non-refundable (see the Refund Policy).
  6. Service Availability: The service may occasionally be down for maintenance or due to issues beyond Trelis’ control, and Trelis is not liable for any resulting consequences.

License Overview

This license is a binding agreement between you (the Licensee) and Trelis LTD, Blackrock, Dublin (the “Licensor”). By purchasing these products (“Products”), you agree to the terms outlined in this license. This license is for individual (or teams, depending on the product purchased) use and is non-transferable.

License Grant

Trelis LTD grants the Licensee a lifetime, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this License. This license is limited to one individual per purchase for individual products and five users per purchase for team products.

Restrictions

  • You may not distribute the Product or publicly post any content from the Product. This includes derivatives of the product.
  • You may not share your access to the Product with any other individuals.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Product, including issues, comments, commits, pull requests, and improvements made within the repository, are owned by Trelis LTD. You are permitted to independently modify the content – solely for your own use.

License Modification

Trelis LTD reserves the right to modify the terms of this license with 30 days notice.

Enforcement

Violation of this license may result in termination of access to the Products without refund. Trelis LTD reserves the right to pursue legal action for any unauthorized use of the Product.
